You've come to the right place!

Ground pork is the de facto key ingredient in most Chinese wontons. There are countless pork wonton recipes because every mother or father has their own little secret recipe. Some, like me, tend to make it up as we go along, especially with whatever leftovers we have in the fridge. (^-_^)

Here are a few popular ones to help you get started.


Pork and fresh prawns wontons

1 packet of won ton wrappers

Filling
150g ground pork
150g fresh prawns

Seasonings for filling
1/2 egg white
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cornstarch
Dash of pepper

Garnish
1 stalk of finely sliced celery
1 stalk of chopped spring onions
Dash of sesame seed oil

Directions
  1. Shell and devein the prawns. Wash and cut in half if they are too big
  2. Mix the ground pork and seasonings for filling together. Add dash of cold water if the mixture is too dry
  3. Fold in the fresh prawns
  4. Wrap the wontons
  5. Boil water and cook the wontons. Drain and leave aside
  6. Prepare the wonton soup
  7. Pour the soup into serving bowls, add the wontons
  8. Garnish and serve

Pork and seafood wonton

1 packet of won ton wrappers

Filling
150g minced pork
80g minced fish
80g fresh prawns

Seasonings for filling
1 tsp cooking wine
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sesame seed oil
1/2 egg white
1/2 tsp cornstarch
Dash of pepper

Garnish
1 stalk of coriander leaves or chinese parsley or cilantro
Salt & pepper
Dash of sesame seed oil

Directions
  1. Shell, devein and wash the prawns. Cut into small pieces
  2. Mix the ground pork, minced fish and prawns with the seasonings for filling. Leave to stand and marinate for an hour Вода, доставка воды Бунинская аллея.
  3. Wrap the wontons
  4. Boil water and cook the wontons. Drain and leave aside
  5. Prepare the wonton soup
  6. Pour the soup into serving bowls, add the wontons
  7. Garnish and serve

Pork and chinese cabbage wonton

1 packet of won ton wrappers

Filling
150g ground pork
3 leaves of chinese cabbage

Seasonings for filling
1 tbsp hoisin sauce (chinese oyster sauce)
2 tbsp sesame seed oil
1/2 tsp cornstarch

Garnish
1 stalk of coriander leaves or chinese parsley or cilantro (stalk removed)
Salt & pepper
Dash of sesame seed oil

Directions
  1. Wash and blanch the chinese cabbage leaves. Leave to cool, chop finely and drain off excess water
  2. Mix the ground pork with the finely chopped cabbage. Add seasonings for filling. Mix well, leave to stand and marinate for an hour все виды переездов по Москве - переезд грузчики недорого
  3. Wrap the wontons
  4. Boil water and cook the wontons. Drain and leave aside
  5. Prepare the wonton soup
  6. Pour the soup into serving bowls, add the wontons
  7. Garnish and serve

Pork and taro wonton

1 packet of won ton wrappers

Filling
150g ground pork
1/2 taro or yam

Seasonings for filling
1 tbsp cooking wine
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sesame seed oil

Garnish
1 stalk of coriander leaves or chinese parsley (stalk removed)
Salt & pepper

Directions
  1. Peel the taro. Wash, cut, steam and mash it. Leave to cool
  2. Mix the ground pork with the mashed taro. Add seasonings for filling. Mix well, leave to stand and marinate for an hour Сервис европейского уровня шлифовка лица работаем до полного результата.
  3. Wrap the wontons
  4. Boil water and cook the wontons. Drain and leave aside
  5. Prepare the wonton soup
  6. Pour the soup into serving bowls, add the wontons
  7. Garnish and serve

Pork and chives wontons

1 packet of won ton wrappers

Filling
150g ground pork
75g chives

Seasonings for filling
1 tbsp hoisin sauce (chinese oyster sauce)
1/2 tbsp sesame seed oil
Dash of pepper

Garnish
1 stalk of coriander leaves or chinese parsley (stalk removed)
Salt & pepper

Directions
  1. Wash and chop the chives finely
  2. Mix the ground pork with the chopped chives. Add seasonings for filling. Mix well, leave to stand and marinate for an hour
  3. Wrap the wontons
  4. Boil water and cook the wontons. Drain and leave aside
  5. Prepare the wonton soup
  6. Pour the soup into serving bowls, add the wontons
  7. Garnish and serve
Crab and pork wontons

1 packet of won ton wrappers

Filling
250g crab meat
250g ground pork
1 stalk finely chopped spring onion

Seasonings for filling
2 tsp cooking wine
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp minced ginger
Dash of cold water or soup stock

Directions
  1. Mix the ground pork, crab meat, chopped spring onion, cooking wine, soy sauce, minced ginger together. Add cold water if mixture is too dry
  2. Wrap the wontons
  3. Boil water and cook the wontons. Drain and leave aside
  4. Prepare the wonton soup
  5. Pour the soup into serving bowls, add the wontons
