I believe that there are people making a lot of money using the Internet. They are making the money because they are selling information products that "guarantee" to teach others how to make the same kind of money. Compelling products, high in demand.

The problem is, these information products teach other people to replicate the SAME products, SAME salesletter, SAME marketing instructions in order to sell to other people who want to make big bucks using the Internet.

That's like cloning. Remember Agent Smith in Matrix? Uncontrolled replication of Agent Smith threaten to crash the Matrix. In the same way, cloning create multiple salesletters and multiple sellers of the same information products in the marketplace. Up to a certain point saturation is reached and the "gurus" move on to create more similar products which they promise will be "the next big thing" in Internet Marketing.

Yes, I'm talking about information products like Google black book, Mark Warren's Ultimate Wealth Package, the Rich Jerk, Google cash and many more. Granted that there are people who bought their programs and systems and made money. But are these good ways to make money? I mean Google black book promises "brutal" techniques that they themselves describe as stealing.

I believe in Internet Marketing. I believe in building an honest online business. And I believe it is possible for an individual with little financial backing and Internet knowledge to build an honest online business.

In a traditional business with a shopfront, the all important factor is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

In an online business, this changes to INFORMATION INFORMATION INFORMATION.

Not just any information. It is valuable in-demand information. Information people want! The good news is, different people need different information at different points in their lives. This is the information age. All of us need information.

And according to Site Build It, all of us have information that others need.

I could not wait to start building my website but I was asked to brainstorm this, analyze that. Day 1 actually took weeks. By the time I got to Day 4, more than a month has passed. It was tedious to me at that time.

From hindsight, now about 1 and a half years later, I knew I had been too impatient. If I had brainstormed and analyzed more, I could have found an even more profitable topic.

The SBI Action guide now comes in videos. Instead of reading, I can now click a button, sit back and enjoy a refresher whenever I want to. I can even choose between the female or male narrators.

Many Internet Marketing schemes promised step-by-step instructions but usually fall short of that promise. The Internet is a complicated space, it is not easy to come up with a good idea and set up a good website at the same time, especially for the non-IT savvy person like me.

If there are step-by-step instructions, you usually end up with a duplicate or replicate website which the search engines hate and you probably have to advertise like mad through word of mouth or spend money to buy adwords.

The SBI Action guide comes close to being step-by-step although there are certain tasks that require personal work. It is inevitable because we are building a personal website with personal information. I have come to regard the Day 1 to 5 process as a solid grounded market survey process, which is indispensable to success with a website in cyberspace.

SBI Forums

Fellow SBIers regularly meet at the SBI forums to seek help, exchange ideas, chit-chat or make friends. It is a wonderful community to fall back on whenever I need to. I can get tutorials, advice and see what others are doing. I also pay it forward by helping newly joined SBIers with their questions and doubts.

Technically Simple

There is no running away from building your website on your own. Okay, I was wrong. You can run away from designing and building by hiring someone to do it for you. You just provide the content. Oh, even that you can get someone to do it.

What I am trying to say is ... beside the website building part, the rest of the technical work is handled by Site Build it. Technical issues such as uploading to the web server, submitting to search engines, and collecting statistics. Site Build It handles all that.
